Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 40 hours guaranteed per week.
Job Description
The Interventional Radiology unit at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is equipped with 5 labs and features a team-based environment with 1-2 techs per procedure. The unit takes pride in being a Level 1 Trauma Center and is recognized as the number one HCA stroke center in the company. Nurses will have the opportunity to work closely with patients and staff in a well-operated department known for its excellence and leadership. The primary documentation system used is Meditech Expanse.
Responsibilities
- Perform a full scope of interventional radiology procedures such as TAVR, Mitra Clip, carotid stenting, and peripheral arterial cases.
- Complete lumbar punctures, paras, thoracentesis, drain placements, ports, DSA, and neurologically related interventions.
- Monitor patient care in the holding area, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:4 depending on acuity levels.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication with patients and families.
Required Experience
- Active RN license with interventional radiology procedural experience.
- Experience with IR protocols and procedures, including neuro-interventional cases.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN license.
- ACLS and BLS certification are required.
