Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

3-12 hour shifts per week including every other weekend. Night shift from 19:00 to 07:00.

Job Description

As a Respiratory Therapist in the NICU at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, you will provide essential care for neonatal patients, utilizing advanced technology and equipment. You will be responsible for managing respiratory therapy treatments and delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy interventions for NICU patients.
• Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, bubble CPAP, and Hamilton C1 ventilators.
• Document patient care and treatments using the Meditech system.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of general respiratory therapy experience.
• NICU experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications preferred (can obtain after hire).
