Day shift: 7am - 7:30pm. Traveler must work at least every other holiday.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse for the Stepdown Neuro unit will provide care for patients requiring intermediate-level care. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes. Familiarity with ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate protocols is beneficial as these competencies will be assessed during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in the Stepdown Neuro unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions regularly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
• Document patient information accurately and timely.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for.
• Progressive care experience is preferred but not required.

Certifications/Licensure

• A permanent Ohio license or a compact state license in hand is required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.
