7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Friday, guaranteed 40 hours per week.
Job Description
The Physical Therapist Assistant will deliver services through evaluation of patient needs, goal determination, and development of treatment plans in accordance with the Maryland Physical Therapy Practice Act. The role includes treating patients using appropriate therapeutic interventions and demonstrating competency in treating multiple patient populations, including high-risk cases, within the acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient needs and determine goals.
- Develop and implement treatment plans adhering to established standards.
- Engage in interdisciplinary meetings regarding patient care.
- Utilize standardized tests for documentation support.
- Manage a caseload in accordance with productivity standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency in treating high-risk patient populations.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
Required Experience
- 2+ years of recent experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - REQUIRED.
- Active Maryland Physical Therapist Assistant license upon submission - REQUIRED.
- Flu and COVID vaccination records from a valid source are required, with no declinations accepted.
- Ability to work within the facility's scheduling requirements - REQUIRED.
- Previous travel experience is preferred.
- Acute care experience is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active Maryland Physical Therapist Assistant license - REQUIRED.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - REQUIRED.
