This position requires working from 05:00 to 15:30, with expectations to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Pre Op unit will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, providing education, and ensuring all pre-operative procedures are followed. This role is essential to the surgical process and supports a wide range of patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments of patients.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding surgical procedures.
- Ensure all necessary documentation and pre-operative protocols are completed.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless care delivery.
Required Experience
Candidates must have prior experience in a pre-operative or surgical unit environment.
Certifications/Licensure
A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license is required. BLS certification is preferred.
