ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (Day Shift) in Neptune, New Jersey.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 3 x 12 hour shifts, every other weekend required, 3 out of 6 holidays required, no on-call requirement, float requirement to comparable units. Scrub color: Navy blue.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is accountable for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with comprehensive patient care. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs, establishing priorities through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The RN develops and coordinates individualized plans of care, initiating assessments based on patient problems, physician diagnoses, and functional health frameworks, while performing therapeutic nursing interventions and managing patient care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs and assist in developing individualized care plans.
• Document care in accordance with standards of practice and patient acuity.
• Advocate for evidence-based practices and care standards in the delivery of patient-centric care.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage care for assigned patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members and communicate effectively with patients and their families.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit in a major acute care hospital setting.
• Strong background in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing.

Certifications/Licensure

• NIHSS certification.
• Telemetry certification.
• BLS certification (AHA).
• CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours.
• Active NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
