Schedule/Shift
This position involves working the night shift, specifically 3 twelve-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.
Job Description
As a Registered Nurse in the Telemetry unit, you will provide essential care for adult and geriatric patients with various medical needs. The role involves monitoring telemetry patients, managing dysrhythmias, and implementing isolation precautions as necessary. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy, among others. Experience in a Med/Surg or telemetry setting is preferred, utilizing the Epic charting system.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in accordance with established standards and practices.
- Monitor telemetry and subjective assessments.
- Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
- Document patient care accurately in the Epic system.
- Collaborate with team members and support staff for optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience in a telemetry or Med/Surg unit is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active New Jersey state license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
