Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care to patients in an efficient, professional, compassionate, and caring manner. The role requires effective communication with patients, support persons, and members of the healthcare team, along with the implementation of nursing care through the Nursing Process.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care using evidence-based practice and accepted protocols.
- Direct the activities of paraprofessionals in patient care.
- Conduct patient assessments, develop diagnoses, and implement care planning.
- Administer medication safely and evaluate its effectiveness.
- Participate in organizational initiatives aimed at improving patient satisfaction and quality of care.
Required Experience
- Current licensure in the state of Maine as a Registered Nurse or Compact licensure in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
- BSN preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- 2 years of current hospital nursing experience preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Maine or Compact licensure.
- BLS certification.
