Schedule/Shift
Schedule includes 3 x 12-hour shifts with a requirement for floating per facility needs. Every other weekend and holiday are expected.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in this role will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry department. The nurse will manage and interpret dysrhythmias, administer oxygen, and provide peripheral line care. Additionally, nurses will participate in rapid response and code teams, ensuring patient safety and effective intervention.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
- Utilize rapid response and code teams effectively.
- Administer and manage oxygen therapy and peripheral lines.
- Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and patient safety protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
Required Experience
A minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current New York State RN License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
