Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30).
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery will provide care for patients before, during, and after childbirth. Responsibilities include monitoring fetal heart rates, assisting during delivery, and supporting new mothers in the nursery. Proficiency in AWHONN fetal monitoring is necessary, along with experience using the Epic charting system.
Responsibilities
- Assist in labor and delivery procedures.
- Monitor and assess maternal and fetal well-being.
- Provide education and support to patients and families.
- Document care accurately and timely using the electronic health record (Epic).
- Float to the nursery as needed.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Prior travel experience preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current New York State RN license.
- AWHONN fetal monitoring certification (within the past 2 years).
- BLS and NRP certifications required.
