ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Acute Care Float (Night Shift) in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (30-minute lunch) for a 12-hour shift. Weekend requirements are every other weekend.

Job Description

The Acute Care Float position requires the Registered Nurse to provide care to patients in various departments as needed. Responsibilities include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols. Experience with Cerner EMR is mandatory.

Responsibilities

Float to various units including Medical, Surgery, Trauma, Oncology, and more, as needed.
Provide medical comfort care and support for patients in observation and various specialty units.
Monitor and document patient vital signs and changes in condition.
Administer medications and assist with treatments as per physician orders.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable acuity hospital.
Prior experience in various acute care settings preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

Current, active, and unencumbered RN license for Tennessee or compact license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
