This position requires Night shifts, specifically 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will work in a Certified Stroke Center, providing care to a diverse patient population that includes cardiac, respiratory, COVID-19, infectious diseases, pre and post-operative, endocrine, and cerebrovascular accident cases. This role involves floating between sister units, which include West 2, West 3, and the Observation unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary support teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Monitor and interpret vital signs and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
- Assist with the management of various medical procedures and devices.
- Ensure accurate documentation in the Epic charting system.
Required Experience
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a med-surg or telemetry setting, with previous charge experience preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current New York State RN licensure required.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
