Schedule/Shift

Shift hours are from 07:00 AM to 04:30 PM, working 36 hours per week. Call shifts are required during weeknights and weekends, including one weekend every 6 to 7 weeks and one weeknight call each week.

Job Description

The Operating Room at Pen Bay Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their team. This role involves providing high-quality care to surgical patients within a collaborative and team-oriented environment. The hospital prides itself on teamwork and maintaining a patient-centered focus.

Responsibilities

• Act as a circulating nurse in the Operating Room during surgical procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout surgical interventions.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to provide optimal care.
• Assist with room turnovers and maintain sterile environments.
• Respond to patient needs and provide education as necessary.

Required Experience

A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, including at least 5 years in an Operating Room setting, is required. Travel experience is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS certification
• ACLS certification required for on-call responsibilities
