Job Summary and Qualifications

1. Position Summary: This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center/Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The Pediatric Outpatient Center RN is responsible for the care of  pediatric outpatients. Interventions and procedures include chemotherapy/biotherapy administration, propofal clinic, pre and post procedure care, and blood transfusions. Primary populations served includes gematolgoy/oncology, cardiology, gastrointestinal, dermatology, and nephrology. When the need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

1. Position Requirements: 

 

1. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license; BLS – Healthcare provider. PALS required by end of orientation. APHON certification required upon hire. CPHON eligible.  

 

1. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN required.. 

 

1. Experience: One-year experience in acute care or Outpatient Infusion Center preferred.   

 

1. Special Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members. Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
