Description
**3 LVNs needed**
Start: April 6, 2026
Base Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Evening Shift)
Shift Flexibility: Candidates MUST be flexible for shifts up to 16 hours when operationally required
Extended Shift: Up to 16 continuous hours — facility will provide advance notice when extended shifts are anticipated
Weekend Pattern: Rotational — every 3rd weekend OFF (candidates work 2 out of 3 weekends)
Schedule Type: Rotational pattern to meet ongoing staffing needs of the facility
Hours Guarantee Request: 40hrs per week
Compliance Note: All credentialing and compliance requirements must be fully satisfied BEFORE the candidate's first day. No exceptions will be made.
• Licensed to practice as an LVN in the State of Texas — license must be current and unrestricted
• Minimum 1 year of direct care nursing experience required; 2+ years strongly preferred
• Experience in developmental disability, long-term care, or similar residential care setting preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in advanced clinical skills (see Responsibilities above)
• Strong documentation skills and comfort with electronic health record systems
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team under RN and nurse manager supervision
• Perform complex vocational nursing duties under the supervision of the Unit RN and Unit Nurse Manager
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; provide medication education to patients and caregivers
• Complete thorough and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with facility and state standards
• Perform computer data entry into the electronic health records system (full training provided upon onboarding)
• Demonstrate competency in advanced clinical skills including:
• Gastrostomy tubes and enteral feedings
• Foley catheter placement and management
• Tracheostomy care and management
• Provide compassionate and consistent direct patient care in a State Supported Living Center environment
