Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Department (ED) team at facility. This 32-bed ED serves a diverse patient population, including adult and pediatric patients, with a focus on critical conditions such as primary stroke, STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction), behavioral health emergencies, and critical care cases. Nurses in this role will manage triage, patient assignments, and utilize advanced equipment to deliver high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in the ED, including assessment, triage, stabilization, and treatment.
• Manage critical cases such as primary stroke, STEMI, behavioral health crises, and other emergency conditions requiring immediate intervention.
• Perform triage to prioritize patient needs and assign care accordingly.
• Operate and monitor critical care equipment, ensuring patient safety and effective outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, specialists, and support staff, to deliver coordinated care.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain compliance with hospital policies and protocols.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with ED best practices.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience required.
• Active New Jersey RN License (must be in hand at the time of application).
• Current certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale).
• Flu Immunization: Mandatory unless a valid medical exemption with supporting documentation is provided.
• Scrub Policy: Any color scrubs are acceptable as long as they are clean and professional.

Contract Details:

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks.
• Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM.
• Schedule: Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required.
