Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) – Refill Technician
📍 Location: Penn Medicine
3400 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104
⏳ Duration: 13-Week Contract (Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)
🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday
• 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or
• 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
🚫 No weekends or holidays required
Position Overview
Penn Medicine is seeking an experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) to join our pharmacy team as a Refill Technician. This patient-facing role requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and prior experience managing prescription refills in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term growth potential.
Key Responsibilities

Process and manage prescription refill requests accurately and efficiently

Communicate directly with patients to resolve refill issues, questions, and concerns

Review prescriptions for completeness and compliance prior to processing

Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare teams to ensure timely medication access

Maintain accurate documentation in pharmacy systems and ensure HIPAA compliance

Provide excellent customer service while supporting daily pharmacy operations
Qualifications

Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB/CPHT) – required at time of submission

Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, preferably in refill or outpatient pharmacy settings

Strong patient-facing and customer service skills

Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
