Job Overview

Facility is seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a weekends-only basis. This position offers an opportunity to provide critical care in a fast-paced emergency department environment, supporting patient stabilization, triage, and emergency interventions during Friday through Sunday shifts.

Schedule

7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Friday through Sunday (weekends only). This is a part-time or contract position focused on weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

As an Emergency Room RN, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care in a dynamic emergency setting. Key duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assessing and triaging patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on acuity.
• Administering medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered.
• Monitoring vital signs, interpreting diagnostic tests, and responding to changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborating with physicians, paramedics, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Providing emotional support to patients and families during stressful situations.
• Documenting patient care accurately and maintaining compliance with hospital policies.
• Participating in code blue responses, trauma care, and other emergency protocols.
• Ensuring a safe and sterile environment in the ER.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an ER RN.
• Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse) – must be active and in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Certification.
• COVID-19 Vaccination plus 1 booster and current Flu Shot are required.
• Strong clinical skills in emergency nursing, including triage, critical care, and patient assessment.
• Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical nursing practices.
