Shift: Days, 12 (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) Every Other Week (EOW)/ 36 Hours

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit/Medical Surgical Telemetry (PCU/MST) team at facility. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, monitoring and managing patients with complex medical conditions, including telemetry monitoring. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes, administer medications, perform assessments, and respond to critical situations.

• Provide direct patient care in a PCU/MST setting, including monitoring vital signs, administering treatments, and managing patient responses to interventions.
• Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor cardiac rhythms and alert medical staff to changes.
• Assess patient conditions, develop care plans, and document progress in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge planning.
• Respond to emergencies, including code situations, and perform life-saving interventions as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols.

• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years of recent experience as an RN in MST/PCU or a similar acute care setting.
• Licenses and Certifications:
  • Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse).
  • Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Certification.
• Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency in telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, medication administration, and electronic health record systems. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities.
• Other Requirements: Flu vaccination is required. Must be able to work every other week (EOW) on day shifts.
