Operating Room Technologist (L&D Surgical Tech)

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Technologist with strong Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate must have a solid background in obstetric surgical procedures and demonstrate expertise in supporting high-acuity cases in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons during Labor & Delivery surgical procedures.

• Provide sterile field setup and maintain aseptic technique.

• Scrub and circulate for procedures including:

  • Cesarean Sections

  • Hysterectomies

  • Tubal ligations

  • Dilation and Curettage (D&C)

• Prepare and handle surgical instruments and equipment.

• Ensure accurate surgical counts before, during, and after procedures.

• Participate in on-call rotation (1 call shift every 6 weeks).

• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in L&D surgical technology.

• Strong hands-on experience in Cesarean Sections and OB/GYN procedures.

• Active National Certification Card (CST preferred).

• Current BLS certification (if applicable per facility requirement).

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
