Description

Pharmacy Technician -Outpatient
Philadelphia PA

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

  • Flexible between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM based on scheduling needs

  • Weekend rotation may include Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Pharmacy Technician with at least 2 years of experience in a retail or outpatient pharmacy setting. The ideal candidate must hold an active PTCB/CPHT certification and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

This position is open to local candidates only. Travelers will not be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing, filling, and dispensing medications

  • Accurately process prescriptions and ensure proper documentation

  • Handle insurance billing, claims processing, and prior authorizations

  • Maintain inventory control and restock medications as needed

  • Provide excellent customer service and patient support

  • Follow all pharmacy regulations, policies, and safety standards

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of outpatient or retail pharmacy experience

  • Active PTCB/CPHT certification – REQUIRED

  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy workflows and medication processing

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends

  • Must be a local candidate
