POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Progressive Care Unit/Medical Surgical Telemetry setting. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Licensure & Certifications:

NJ-RN License
Current, active Registered Nurse license in New Jersey
BLS Certification
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS
ACLs Certification
Current American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS
NIHSS
Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification

Experience:

• Flu Vaccination required prior to start date

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to PCU/MST patients
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and neurological status
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
