Radiation Therapist

  • Chest Pain Center
  • Stroke Center
• Department Information:
  • Census? Average patients/day? 75-95 per day
  • Minimum Years of Experience required? 1 year required
  • Will you accept a first-time traveler? No – must have completed at least 1 contract (13)
• Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
  • All types of cancers
  • 3 mo. to geriatric
• Required License, National Certification, Certifications (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
  • BLS
  • ARRT-RT
• Skills required:
  • Elekta and Mosaiq experience
• Support within the Department:
  • Leadership
  • Lead Tech
  • 2 Therapists per patient
• Technology/Equipment:
  • EMR: Mosaiq
• Floating: If yes, where?
  • Not outside of department
• Orientation (facility and unit):
  • NEO
  • Up to 1 week departmental – dependent on experience and comfort
• Scheduling:
  • Weekend rotation: Mon-Fri (4-10s or 5-8s)
  • No call
  • Holiday Expectations: no major
  • RTO: Manager approval
  • Shift times: 10h 7a-5:30 or 8-5
  • Schedule cycle (how many weeks): weekly
