Description

Job Title: RN – Telemetry (RN Tele)
Location: Alexandria, LA
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Position Type: Full-Time
Nurse to Patient Ratio: 5:1 (occasionally 6:1)

The department manages cardiac drips (no nitrates) and closely monitors patients requiring cardiac care.

Temp-to-perm opportunities may be available.

Weekend & Floating Requirements

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
On-Call Requirement: None
Floating: Required to float to other units when needed

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred

Experience

Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred

Required Licenses & Certifications

RN License in the state of employment or compact license
BLS Certification – Required (American Heart Association)
ACLS Certification – Required (American Heart Association)

Orientation & Training

All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurse Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
New hires will complete orientation with a trained preceptor and must successfully complete organizational and MedSurg-specific competency validation.
Newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency or specialized orientation program.
Annual competency requirements must be completed.
