Primary Purpose
The Registered Nurse – Resource Team provides comprehensive nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes
identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies, procedures, and/or
protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. The RN Clinical Nurse/RT assists in maintaining a safe work environment and
performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. The Registered Nurse – Resource Team maintains clinical and professional
competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.
Must be available to provide nursing services in all patient care areas of expertise and knowledge, at all elected facilities.
A registered nurse's practice is guided by the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.
Major Responsibilities
• Collects pertinent data and information relative to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation.
• Analyzes the assessment data to determine the actual or potential diagnoses, problem, and issues.
• Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation.
• Develops a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.
• Implements the identified plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe
environment.
• Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with any applicable legal or
policy parameters or principles.
• Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
• Practices ethically.
• Practices in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
• Communicates effectively in all areas of practice.
• Collaborates with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing

Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
Certification / License
Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license approved by the Georgia Licensing Board for GA locations and
Alabama Licensing Board for AL locations.
BLS required.
ACLS required.
Work Experience
2 years of nursing experience in specialty area required.

All related medical equipment and supplies.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift
and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak English in good,
understandable terms. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch. Finger dexterity.
Critical thinking and ability to concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
Physical Abilities Testing required.

· Beds: 28

· Minimum Years of Experience required? 1 year of experience in Cardiology
· Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
● Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
· Cardiac PCU – Acute Coronary Syndrome, Heart failure, NSTEMI/STEMI, Chest Pain r/o, post cardiac cath (PCI or without stent), post EP procedures – pacemaker insertion, ICD, ablation; Arrhythmia management, Vascular – Peripheral Artery Disease, AAA Repair, DVT/PE
● Patient Ratios:
· RN: 1:4-5
· CNA: 1:11-14
● Required Licensure & Certifications:
· BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
● Skills required:
· Cardiac rhythm interpretation; Cardiac post-procedural experience
· REQUIRED to be comfortable titrating gtts – Argatroban, Digoxin, Diltiazem, Dobutamine, Dofetilde, Dopamine, Esmolol, Lasix, Insulin, Labetalol, Lidocaine, Milrinone, Nicardipine, Nitroglycerine, Sotalol, Tirofiban
● Support within the Department:
· CNA: Supports the RN by obtaining VS and blood glucose checks; assists with hourly safety rounds and ADLs
· Receptionist/HUC
· Charge nurse: may or may not have patient assignment
· Phlebotomy? Yes, peripheral blood draws
· No IV/VAT team
· RT 24/7? Yes, available – will need to page for assistance when needed
· Hospitalist 24/7
