Job Title: Cardiac Cath Tech
Location: Charlotte NC
Shift: 10hr Day Shift - 40hr/week, 0730-1800 
On Call, Call Back Requirements Required to take 1-2 nights of call per week and 1 week every 6 weeks
Weekend Rotation None
Holiday Requirements Travelers will work 75% of holidays

JOB DESCRIPTION
● About Facility: 10628 Park Rd. Charlotte, NC 28210
· 337 licensed beds
· No Trauma designation
· Not a Teaching Hospital – no residents/students
· Chest Pain Center
· Certified Stroke Center
· Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
● Department Information:
· Outpatient Interventional Cardiac Services
· Minimum Years of Experience required? RN & Tech -- 2 years Cardiac/Cath Lab
· Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
● Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
· Chest pain, Vascular issues, Ablations and PPM
● Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
· Cath Lab Tech: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS
● Skills required:
· Cath Lab Tech: Previous experience with the above-mentioned patients
▪ IABP/Impella experience are a MUST – decline if traveler is not competent, aseptic technique knowledge, sheath pulling, TR band placement/removal, line securement, EKG/cardiac rhythm interpretation
● Support within the Department:
· Department leadership
● Technology/Equipment:
· EMR: EPIC
· Department specific Equipment: Merge/Hemo
● Floating:
· None
● Orientation (facility and unit):
· NEO
· 3-4 days departmental
● Scheduling:
· Weekend rotation: every other for invasive Cardiology;
▪ no weekend call for EP, no weekend call for Pre/Post
· Call Required:
▪ Required to take 1-2 nights of call per week and 1 week every 6 weeks
▪ Call back time? 30 min
▪ Sleep room: there are (3) call rooms available for staff
· Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
· RTO: Manager approval
· Shift times: Varies, based on needs
· Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
