Antepartum, post partum, GYN surgeries, L&D > 35 weeks
Covid & PPE:
Adequate PPE
Patient Ratios:
Laboring- 1:1
Couplets mixed with antepartum/surgical- 1:3
Required Certifications:
BLS, NRP, FHM
Skills required
Experience with L&D, nursery, post partum
Support on the Unit:
Charge nurse: takes patients as needed
RN draws blood
FHM at bedside and nurse's station, no tele
Resource Nurse
RT
Obstetrician has a 30 min call back time
Charting System/Equipment:
EPIC
Alaris IV pump
Pyxis
Floating:
May float to inpatient units to act as a sitter or in a CNA role.
Orientation:
At least one shift to learn flow
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: Every other
Can we approve time off? up to 7 days
On-call
