• General, abdominal, vascular, small parts, refluxes, venous/arterial dopplers, biopsies
• No cardiac: Echo tech will perform
• OB/GYN – only for viability for ER patient
• Patient Ratios:
• 1:1
• Required Certifications:
• ARMDS (vascular and abdominal cert), BLS
• Skills required
• Required: experience with the above patient types
• Preferred: Equipment: Client Logiq 7, Client Logiq 10, Siemens, Octavia, Parks flo-lab
• Support on the Unit:
• Lead ultrasound tech
• Supervisor
• Work as part of team unless weekends which are solo and on call
• Charting System/Equipment:
• EPIC
• Alaris
• Pyxis
• Orientation:
• 1-3 shift on the unit based on experience and comfort
• Scheduling:
• Weekend rotation: Varies – see call schedule
• Can we approve time off? Up to 7 days
• Holiday Expectations: may be on call if there is no coverage from core staff
• Call: yes
o Weekends: 1 entire weekend 24/7 each month
o Weekdays: 1-2 overnights each week- 1700-0700
o 30-minute response time
