Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 36 hours per week (3 × 12-hour shifts)
Shift: Tuesday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in the Radiology Department. The technologist will perform high-quality MRI scans while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to facility protocols. The candidate must have experience working with multiple MRI platforms and be able to work collaboratively with radiologists and healthcare staff.
Roles & Responsibilities- Perform MRI procedures according to physician orders and established imaging protocols.
- Operate and maintain Siemens and Philips MRI scanners efficiently and safely.
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process and addressing concerns.
- Screen patients for MRI safety, including contraindications such as implants or metal objects.
- Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any complications or discomfort.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in the system.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Follow all radiation safety and MRI safety protocols.
- Ensure MRI equipment is properly maintained and report any technical issues.
- Adhere to facility policies, infection control standards, and patient confidentiality regulations (HIPAA).
- Float to other areas within the department if required.
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
- ARRT (MRI) Certification – Required
- BLS Certification – Required
- Experience with Siemens MRI Scanners
- Experience with Philips MRI Scanners
- Previous travel experience preferred
- Ability to float as needed
Candidates must provide:
- Updated resume (showing 2 years of MRI experience and travel experience)
- Two recent MRI Supervisor/Manager references
- Skills checklist relevant to MRI specialty
- Copy of ARRT (MRI) certification
- Copy of BLS certification
- Requested Time Off (RTO) included at time of submission
- Nicotine-Free Facility – Candidates must pass a nicotine test along with the drug screen.
- Flu Vaccination Required – CHOA requires the flu vaccine with no exemptions, including medical or religious.
