JOB DESCRIPTION
IR tech who is able to do body IR along with Neuro IR working 7a to 5:30p 4-days per week. This comes along with solo call covering both areas one day per week from 5:30p-7a. Weekend call starts at 5:30p on Friday and ends on Monday morning at 7a. IR techs scrub in with our amazing providers and assist during the cases as well as taking care of filming, EPIC documentation, and sending images through to PACS. • Experience: 2 years
• First-time traveler: Upon Review
• Patient Types:
• Neuro, general, biopsies, fistulas, drains
• Covid & PPE:
• We perform AGPs when needed. We follow all CDC and site policies for PPE
• Patient Ratios:
• 1:1-3 depending the pre/post areas
• Required Certifications:
• RN: BLS, ACLS
• Tech: ARRT, BLS
• Skills required:
• RN: Moderate sedations, 2 years of critical care or IR experience, pre/post recovery, circulate procedures
• Tech: Scrub cases, circulate
• Support on the Unit:
• Charge nurse
• Bedside monitoring
• Charting System/Equipment:
• EPIC
• Alaris
• Pyxis
• Floating:
• Throughout the imaging to assist with procedures, CT, MRI, etc.
• Orientation:
• General Hospital Orientation
• Minimum of One shift on unit, as needed
• Scheduling:
• Weekend rotation: if called out on application
• Can we approve time off? yes
• Call is at least one weekday per week, typically 2 weekdays, and every 3rd weekend on call. Call starts at 5:30pm and ends at 7:00 am. The weekend includes Friday.
