RN-Cath LabWork Location 316 Calhoun StreetRoper HospitalCharleston, SC, 29401, US Schedule NotesM-F 7:30 am – 6:00 pm call requirements. Manager to discuss the call requirements during the interview May be asked to float to cover Cath/EP and possibly TEE/CVs. If they cover TEE/CVs, it would be intra-procedure only, and the primary responsibility is documenting timeout, procedure tracking, and circulating the room for minor things that may be needed. While it should be rare that we would need them to cover TEE/CVs, Manager can review further. If they can scrub a bonus

  • Perform patient assessments reflecting physical, psychological, socio-cultural, spiritual, cognitive needs and functional abilities through the systematic collection and review of patient-specific data and communicate assessments appropriately

  • Assess patienUfamily learning needs, plans and provides education (involve other disciplines as needed) and evaluates the effectiveness of teaching in achieving desired outcomes.

  • Identifies and responds appropriately to ethical issues in patient care; provides nursing care in a non-judgmental manner that respects patient diversity and acknowledges patient rights. Serve as a resource to others in addressing ethical dilemmas in patient care. 10%
  • Initiates collaborative dialogue with physicians and coordinates multidisciplinary activities to plan, deliver and evaluate patient care. 10%

Insures compliance with regulatory requirements, core measures, patient safety and aualitv initiatives to achieve optimal clinical and omanizational outcomes. 10%

Skills

Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of the professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care. Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures to administer patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide on-going patient care. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions. Skill in preparing and maintaining records and writing reports. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, hospital, medical staff and the public. Ability to analyze situations and apply critical thinking. Ability to communicate clearly. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Constant interaction with internal and external customers to include (but not limited to) patients, families, physicians, employees and visitors.
Licensure/Certification: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina or holds a current compacUmulti-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized NCSBN Compact State and is not a permanent resident of SC. Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card. ACLS is required for this position. All WIC service RN's will be required to attain NRP certification within 6 months of hire and must keep this certification current.
