Location: 321 Genesee St, Oneida, NY 13421
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Evening Shift – 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (5 8 Schedule)
Work Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Holiday Requirement: As per Unit Needs

Position Overview

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential patient care and support under the supervision of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals. The CNA assists patients with daily living activities, monitors patient conditions, and helps maintain a safe and comfortable healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help patients with mobility, including transferring, repositioning, and ambulation.
• Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Monitor patients and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
• Assist with feeding patients and documenting food and fluid intake when required.
• Maintain patient hygiene and ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families.
• Assist nursing staff with basic clinical tasks and patient care procedures.
• Ensure proper documentation of care activities in accordance with facility policies.
• Follow infection control, safety, and patient care protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience.
• Active New York Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work evening shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
