Unit Information:
Beds: 2 MRI rooms
Census? Average patients/day? Around 20 patients per weekday; 18 on Weekend Days
Minimum Years of Experience required? 1 year minimum, any setting is acceptable
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
Peds and adults. Outpatient and inpatient
Will only do General MRI, not required to do any specialty scans
Implants, patients with pacemakers, patients requiring anesthesia
Required License, National Certification, Certs:
BLS
ARRT-MR OR AMRIT, State license
Skills required:
Experience scanning inpatient, outpatient, brains, spines, abdomen, pelvis, upper extremities, lower extremities, knowledge of MRI monitors, IV pumps, working with anesthesia team for MRIs
Soft skills: good attitude, team player
Hard stops: EPIC, Siemens MRI equipment experience
Support within the Department:
House transport 24/7 for patients
Typically 2nd MRI Tech as well
Management here during weekdays, on call for weekends
Off site Radiolofists reading
RT 24/7
Hospitalist 24/7
Rapid Response/Code Team
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC - required
IV Pump: MRI - Iradimed
Med dispensing: Omnicell
Unit specific equipment: Siemens MRI equipment - required

None
Orientation (facility and unit):
NEO
1 week of unit orientation
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: Could be every weekend, refer to requisition for schedule
On call? Yes, 7 days of call once every 6th week. Manager will discuss further on 2nd interview.
Holiday Expectations: If it falls on scheduled shift, will work it
Approval of RTO: to go through manager
Shift times: Dependent on requisition; refer to posting for hours/schedule
