JOB DESCRIPTION
Ultrasound Technologist
About Facility:
637 licensed beds
Level 1 Trauma Designation
Teaching Hospital
Chest Pain Center
Stroke Center
Department Information:
Census? Average patients/day? 35 per day
Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years
Will you accept a first-time traveler? No
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
Inpatients, Outpatients, ER
Required License, National Certification, Certifications (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
BLS, ARDMS-AB-OB-RVT OR ARRT-S
Skills required:
EPIC charting experience, Invasive procedures such as Pseudo injection (preferred).
General and vascular studies including, but not limited to, ABI, upper and lower arterial, upper and lower venous, upper and lower extremity vein mapping, AVF mapping, pseudoaneurysm eval, carotid, liver doppler, renal artery, liver/renal transplant (preferred), aorta, appendix, intussusception, pyloric, breast limited (r/o abscess only), testicular, soft tissue and hernia evaluation
Support within the Department:
Departmental leadership

Radiologist on site
PACS support
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC
Department specific Equipment: Philips PACS, Siemens
Floating:
Will work routinely throughout Inpatient, Outpatient, ER
Orientation (facility and unit):
NEO
1 day departmental
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: No
No call
Holiday Expectations: Work holidays that fall during contract
RTO Requests: Manager approval
Shift times: Variable, based on needs
