Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical (Acute Neuro Unit)
Duration: 13 weeks
Location: 1200 Northside Forsyth Drive, Cumming, GA 30041
Schedule: Days (3 shifts of 12 hours, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 36 hours/week)

Note: No local candidates within 50 miles.

Unit: Acute Neuro Unit

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH Certifications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients on the Acute Neuro Unit, focusing on neurological disorders and conditions.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, neurological status, and overall health.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, following established protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatment plans, and recovery processes.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care as necessary.
• Assist in the coordination of patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Ensure adherence to all safety and infection control protocols.
• Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families during hospitalization.
