This position is for a critical care RN in a post anesthesia unit that cares for surgical patients. RN must have ACLS and BLS.

CPI not needed for this role, please submit a document stating so at time of submission with an exp date of one year out.

This job acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. Effectively delegates, directs, and assists licensed and ancillary team members. Assumes accountability for quality patient outcomes, exhibits sensitivity to cultural, ethnic and religious diversity in all interactions, and maintains involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and the department's strategic goals and objectives. Demonstrates professional responsibility and accountability for his/her own practice and supports the company's philosophy of nursing.

Education Required - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred - Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Experience Required - 2 years

Certifications Required -
Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Preferred -Certification in clinical specialty area.

KSAs
Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The incumbent works in a patient care area; works in an area where patients enter; works directly with patients; and/or works with specimens that could contain communicable diseases. The incumbent has an occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases.

Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
