JOB DESCRIPTION
AMG ASLMC: Neuro Spine - Surgery: Neurosurgery

About Facility:
o 2901 W. Kinnickinnic River Pkwy. Suite 102
o Where to go once they arrive: MOB 1/1st floor/Suite 102
● Unit Information:
o nurse will not need to be in room most of the time, this is a background position
▪ 10-20 patients in a clinic day
o Minimum Years of Experience required? Neuro exp Preferred not required, Clinic exp or triage exp Preferred
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Open to 1st time travel if well qualified
● Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o Pre and post op neuro spine surgery, No stroke
● Required License and Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.):
o BLS
o ADN if well qualified, BSN preferred
● Skills required:
o Mostly in-basket management – strong communication skills and able to work independently, able to work under pressure, clinic prep, coordinate care from outpatient to inpatient back to outpatient for follow up. Placing order, nurse triage (including e-messaging), placing referrals, provide patient education, med rec, verifying surgery clearance with other specialties (cardiology, nephrology, pulmonology, etc..) coordinate with other clinics for surgery clearance.
o Must have EPIC experience
● Support within the Department:
o nurse for the other provider on site (Jessica)
o Receptionist
o Mandy and Jenna (Leaders)
o MA's
● Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: EPIC - required
▪ Use clinic view
▪ Does not need inpatient workflow
● Floating:
o No floating
● Orientation (facility and unit):
o Up to 4 weeks orientation, will be only nurse providing support to provider.
● Scheduling:
o Weekend rotation: None
o No on call
o Holiday Expectations: None
o All RTO to be approved by Manager/Provider prior to start
o Shift times: Monday – Friday, 8a-4:30p no wknd no holiday
● Other notes:
o Scrub Color: solid color or business casual
o Parking: Free
