Description
Job Title: Speech Therapist (SLP)
Location: Cumming, GA 30041
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule:
- 5×8-hour shifts (40 hours/week)
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Weekend Requirement: Minimum 2 weekends per 4 weeks (4 preferred)
Position Details:
- Now accepting local candidates only
- Department: Acute Care Speech Therapy (717F)
- Setting: Hospital-based acute care
Requirements:
- Minimum 15–18 months of recent experience in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Georgia SLP License
- CCC-SLP certification required
- BLS certification required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in acute care settings
- Experience with MBS (Modified Barium Swallow) and/or FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing)
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech therapy services to acute care patients based on physician orders
- Work with a diverse patient population, including:
- ICU patients
- Stroke and neurological cases
- Dysphagia
- Respiratory compromise
- Cognitive impairments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across the hospital
