Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 4 shifts/week, 10 hours each (40 hours/week)
Shift: Evenings/Nights (8:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Location Requirement:
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (no local applicants)
Unit: 660C Surgery – Operating Room
Required Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and ready for procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
- Monitor patient condition before, during, and after surgery, including vital signs and response to anesthesia
- Collaborate with surgical team members including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and hospital policies
