Location: Cape (NJ)

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift Details: 12hr Day Shift – 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM | Every Other Weekend (EOW)

Job Summary

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse provides specialized care to patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions. The RN is responsible for assessing patient conditions, administering treatments, monitoring cardiac rhythms, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a PCU/step-down setting
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry
• Administer medications and IV therapies
• Perform patient assessments and reassessments
• Manage drips, lines, tubes, and drains
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Patient Population

• Patients requiring intermediate level care between ICU and MedSurg
• Cardiac, respiratory, and post-surgical patients

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• Progressive Care or Telemetry experience preferred

Skills Required

• Cardiac rhythm interpretation
• IV therapy and medication administration
• Critical thinking and patient monitoring
• Strong communication and teamwork

Additional Information

• Every other weekend required
