Chest Pain Center? ECCC level 3
Remote Stroke Center
Unit Information:
Beds: 15-bed Short-Term Sub-acute rehab unit, Adult OP, Acute Care and ICU
Census? Average patients/day? 8-10
Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 Years of acute care experience required
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, with relevant experience
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses
CVA, Parkinson's, Cancer, Debility, Cognitive Issues, Swallowing, Dysphagia, etc..
Required License, National Certification, Certs:
GA State License is already in hand. GA can be a lengthy process to obtain licensure
Will consider a CFY
BLS
Skills required:
Competency in treating the above diagnoses
Hard stop: MBSS
Prefer - Vital Stim, LSVT LOUD
Support within the Department:
Other seasoned therapists
therapy manager on site
Rapid Response/Code Team
Scheduler available, but can schedule own patients too
CNAs/RNs on the floor if needed
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC
Floating: If yes, where?
Could float to outpatient; would know in advance if needed in outpatient
Orientation (facility and unit):
NEO
5 days of orientation/co-treat/ramp up of patient caseload as needed
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: not required, but manager open to picking up weekends if wanted
On call? No
Holiday Expectations: not required, but manager open to picking up holidays if wanted
Approval of RTO: to go through manager
Shift times: Monday – Friday, 0800-1700. Manager open to some adjustment to these hours if wanted
