Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience within specialty required
- AHA BLS certification required
- ARRT (MRI) certification required
- No local candidates within 50 miles
Job Description
The MRI Technician is responsible for performing high-quality MRI procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate diagnostic imaging services. The technologist will work closely with radiologists and healthcare staff in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing MRI scans according to physician orders and departmental protocols
- Preparing and positioning patients for imaging procedures
- Monitoring patients throughout exams to ensure safety and comfort
- Operating and maintaining MRI equipment to achieve optimal image quality
- Accurately documenting patient and imaging information
- Collaborating with physicians, radiologists, and healthcare team members
- Following hospital policies, safety standards, and imaging regulations
