Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical (Surgery Trauma Unit)

📍 Location: 80 Jesse Hill Jr Dr SE, Atlanta, GA 30303
📅 Duration: 13 Weeks
🌙 Shift: Nights (3 x 12-hour shifts)
⏱ Hours: 36 Hours per Week

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse for a high-acuity Surgery Trauma unit. The ideal candidate will have strong experience caring for complex surgical and trauma patients and be comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience in the specialty
BLS certification required
ACLS certification preferred
EPIC EMR experience required
Must be willing to work the assigned schedule; block scheduling is not available

Patient Population

Surgical patients
Trauma patients, including:
- Gunshot wound cases
- Quadriplegic patients
- Paraplegic patients

Unit Details

High-acuity Surgery Trauma floor
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 5:1
Nursing Support Technicians available
Phlebotomy services available
Unit Secretary available during night shifts
ED nurses and the admitting unit complete nurse-to-nurse handoff prior to admission

Assignment Highlights

13-week travel contract
Night shifts
Supportive interdisciplinary team with ancillary staff available to assist with patient care responsibilities.
