JOB DESCRIPTION
Nuclear Medicine Technologist

● About Facility: 10628 Park Rd. Charlotte, NC 28210
o Total licensed beds are 373 (344 Acute & 29 Inpatient Rehab)
▪ ED = 30 beds
▪ ICU = 46 beds
▪ PCU = 40 beds
▪ Observation = 70 beds
▪ OR Suites = 14
o No trauma designation
o We offer X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine, with Radiology Nursing support.
o TJC Stroke accredited
o Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
● Department Information:
o Average Inpatient Census is around 400
o Department performs an average of 7-10 studies/day
o Staffed Monday-Friday 7a-4p, on-call on the weekends
o Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? yes
● Patient Types/Common Diagnoses/Procedures:
o ED, Inpatient units, Observation units, and Outpatient
o General and Cardiac nuclear imaging
● Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
o Registered by either the ARRT(N) or NMTCB required
o BLS
● Skills required:
o Nuclear Medicine certification
o PET/CT experience (preferred)
● Support within the Department:
o Guest Services/Trasport for IP, Obs and ED patients.
o Radiology Nursing support for Cardiac imaging.
● Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: EPIC
o RIS: Epic Radiant
o PACS: Philips iSite
o Department specific Equipment:
▪ Client Infinia
▪ Client Ventri
● Floating: If yes, where?
o No
● Orientation (facility and unit):
o Administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review, etc.) – 1 day
o 2 days to 1 week departmental (as needed)
