Description

RN – Endoscopy | Travel Assignment

Salem, VA

Position Details

Experience Required: 2 Years
Shift Timing: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Unit Information

Endoscopy Procedure Rooms: 4
Department Size: Approximately 25 staff members
Patient Volume: 20–30 patients daily

Staffing Structure

Day Shift: Primarily RNs with scrub techs and scope room techs
Night Shift: On-call coverage only

Responsibilities

The RN will be responsible for:

Admitting patients
Circulating and scrubbing during procedures
Recovering and discharging patients
Providing patient care in a fast-paced procedural setting
Participating in weekday and weekend call rotation

Procedures Performed

EGD
Colonoscopy
ERCP
Bronchoscopy

Equipment & EMR

Scopes: Olympus
Documentation System: Provation
EMR: Meditech

Required Qualifications

Active RN license
Minimum 2 years of RN experience
BLS Certification
ACLS Certification

Preferred Experience

PACU experience
ICU experience
