Position: RN - PACU
Location: Newark, DE
Facility: Christiana Hospital
Schedule:  Day Shifts | 36 hrs/week
Contract Length: Travel Assignment

This is a fast-paced Perianesthesia unit supporting multiple surgical specialties including General Surgery, Neuro, Spine, Orthopedic, Cardiac, Renal Transplant, GYN, ENT, Plastic Surgery, and more. The unit includes:
• Prep & Hold (22 bays)
• PACU Phase I & II (40 bays)

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Pre-operative patient assessments and preparation
• Immediate post-anesthesia recovery and monitoring
• Airway management and hemodynamic stabilization
• Pain management and patient/family education
• Collaboration with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams
• Accurate EMR documentation and advanced patient monitoring

Schedule & Requirements:
• Rotating shifts with start times including 0530, 0630, 0900, and 1100
• Occasional rotation to midnight shift possible (1830 start)
• 1 weekend per 4-week schedule period
• Weekend on-call in 4-hour blocks (1–2 blocks per schedule period)
• Active DE or Compact RN License required
• PACU experience and strong recovery/airway management skills preferred
