Unit Information: 3 North Post Partum / (660)
- Number of Beds – 23 beds
- Number of Staff – approximately 80 staff members on mom/baby
- Type of staff:
- Day Shift –1 charge, 2-3 CNAs, 9-10 RNs on the floor, 3-4 RNs in the nursery
- Night Shift – 1 charge, 9-10 RNs on the floor, 2-3 RNs in the nursery
- Patient Ratios – 3 or 4:1 - Estimated ratios, not guaranteed
- Type of equipment – main computer system-CPN
- EMR - Meditech / CPN
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
- Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital Postpartum/M/B experience
- BLS & NRP
- Experience in a Mother/Baby Unit
- Flexibility with their schedule
- Ability to adapt quickly to new situations
- Monitoring Vital signs and administering medications and managing perineal care
- Educating parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding
- Compassionate, patient and a team player
- Communication with staff and providers is a priority
