Floor: PACU – 1st Floor
Building: Main Building
General Information
Tell us about the unit(s):
· Number of Beds - 26
· Number of Staff – 17
· Type of staff:
o Day Shift – 1 supervisor, 7 or 8 nurses day into evening
o Night Shift – 2 nurses
· Patient Ratios – 2:1, unless pediatric 1:1
· Type of equipment – Recovery room equipment
· EMR - Meditech
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
· 2 years of PACU or Critical care experience
· ACLS,PALS, BLS certified
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
· Experience with PACU recovery of Kidney transplant patient and TAVR patients
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
· Surgical recovery of high acuity patients; Neuro, vascular, Kidney transplants, GYN Oncology, GEN Oncology, Reconstructive Plastics
Dress Code:
· Scrub Color - Navy Blue
