Position Overview
Seeking an experienced PACU RN for a dynamic Perianesthesia Unit serving multiple surgical specialties. This role primarily covers day/evening rotations with occasional midnight shift rotation.
Schedule & Requirements
- Mainly day/evening shifts
- Potential occasional midnight shift rotation (1830 start time)
- 1 weekend per 4-week schedule period
- Weekend on-call required in 4-hour blocks
- 1β2 call blocks per 4-week schedule period
Unit Details
Perianesthesia Unit includes:
- Prep & Hold: 22 bays
- PACU Phase I & II: 40 bays
Patient Populations
- General Surgery
- Neuro & Spine
- Orthopedics
- GYN
- Urology
- Cardiac
- Renal Transplant
- Colorectal
- Plastic Surgery
- OMFS
- ENT
- Breast Procedures

Responsibilities
- Pre-op assessments and patient preparation
- Post-anesthesia recovery and monitoring
- Airway management and hemodynamic stabilization
- Pain management
- Patient and family education
- Collaboration with anesthesia, surgical, and support teams
- EMR documentation
- Use of advanced monitoring equipment
Ideal Candidate
- Experienced PACU RN
- Strong airway management and assessment skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Submission Requirements
- Active Delaware or Compact RN License (in hand)
- RN License number & expiration date
- Certifications with expiration dates
- All RTO included at submission
- Requests after submission will not be approved
- Full SSN
