- Contract Length: 12 Weeks

- End Date: September 26, 2026
- Purpose: Provide direct patient care while permanent staff participate in Epic training initiatives.
Submission Requirements
- Active Delaware RN License or Compact RN License required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Electrophysiology (EP) experience required (no exceptions).
- Recent Epic experience required.
- RN License Number and Expiration Date required.
- All certifications with expiration dates must be submitted.
- Full SSN, Date of Birth, and Address required.
- All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted with the initial application.
- Maximum 3 days RTO permitted.
Schedule
- Shift: Day Shift
- Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Shift Time: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- No weekends unless otherwise required by the department.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure nursing care for patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, review medical histories, laboratory results, and procedural consents.
- Prepare patients for electrophysiology studies, cardiac ablations, and device implantation procedures.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms continuously during EP procedures and recognize arrhythmias requiring intervention.
- Administer and monitor moderate sedation according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Assist electrophysiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
- Monitor hemodynamic status, oxygenation, and patient response throughout procedures.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, antiarrhythmics, anticoagulants, and emergency medications as needed.
- Respond rapidly to procedural complications, cardiac emergencies, and rhythm disturbances.
- Provide post-procedure recovery care, including monitoring access sites, vital signs, and cardiac status.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, medications, and follow-up care.
- Collaborate closely with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, anesthesia providers, technologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Epic electronic medical record system.
